I'd presume this is the reason why these weird titles get released here.

I can also assume that's also the reason AL released King's Game (in CE format no less). Haven't seen it, but MAL score is almost under 5.00 (which says a lot since the ratings there tends to be overly positive), I've seen countless people saying it's the epitome of "so bad, it's good" and I know the ANN staff repeatedly mentioned it as the "worst" of their "The Best and Worst" of the season it aired.

The devil in me are actually tempting me to buy it just to see what's the deal...

I enjoyed Kings Game unironically. Heres what I briefly said before:

Aye I don't really care about ratings too much these days. Shows I love have low scores while others I was quite mixed on get higher scores than they deserve.

Yeah, I've heard there is a few who like it quite a lot. Which is cool since I prefer to hear from people who genuinely like criticised stuff like this rather than the mass of people who hate it. Tell me, how is it compared to Another?

Its quite different although its been a long time since I watched Another so dont remember it all that well. I remember Another leaning more into the mystery. Whereas Kings Game (as hinted by the name) is a group of people forced into an awful situation and tension is derived more from not knowing who will survive each round of the "game" theres an element of Saw you might say but the characters are trapped by the rules rather than in a location which is an interesting twist I thought.

I found the full first episode on Youtube, definitely doesn't look like a bad show to me. Kinda looks like a step above Hina Logi: From Luck & Logic, which I quite enjoyed.

I think the AUS version is identical except the DVD's could be region 4 (may have more region just don't know) (link to madman/AUS version page) and looks to be the same art work
EDIT: but yeah not sure what the AUS version do for there certification stickers as in whether they are on the art box or the blu ray case

But I compared the EAN to a Australian seller on ebay and they matched up as the AUS, that why i think it could be AUS

I just got it in the mail today and I dont know which edition it is to be honest 😂 It's both region A and B and the DVD is 1, 2 and 4 according to the info sheet. And there is no age restriction thing on the box or the bluray only MA15 on the plastic that I removed 😃

Thats the Aus version. At least the giant age rating was removable.
