Quite a good first episode. Haven't heard of this before is this a JP company trying a new distribution means or will it actually be on other streaming platforms?
MAL has it down as TV rather than ONA, which I guess would be the classification if it was on YouTube only. I think there's been a few preview episodes on YouTube, but not many with subs. This was delayed so they must have had time to sub it before putting it up.

It's not unusual for anime to have their first episodes on YouTube but this is an interesting move since it has subs likely to target a global audience familiar with his other works. Like other series I believe this is just promotion to build interest before it airs for real.

Tatsuya Matsuki, the writer of act-age has been found guilty of committing a coerced indecent act on a female middle school student.

However, like others before him he has been given a shockingly light sentence: 18 months in prison, three years suspended.

I went in thinking that maybe they'd have managed to reach the level of Netflix's CGI anime, but nope the animation and movement is far more robotic and unnatural looking than even that. Pay close attention to the talking animation, it's literally just one mouth open & close animation repeated throughout the dialogue with no attempt at expression or even lip syncing.

Also I noticed that they even censored a kissing scene, which makes me wonder who this is even made for. I've only ever seen something like that censored in an anime made for South Korea.

From what little I’ve seen of the manga, it does seem like the character models are a reasonably decent approximation of the original artwork, it‘s just a shame their movement is so bad.

Except Berserk was produced by people with actual experience with anime working on a tight schedule. EX-ARM is produced by people with zero experience with anime it's hilarious
I didn't know that, that actually makes Berserk even worse lol. But I was comparing the terrible CGI animations of both rather than studio's

To be fair when it came to the Blu-ray release Berserk got a massive improvement as they weren't restricted by the schedule. I doubt we'll see any such improvement from EX-ARM unless they hire actual people from the industry. The director seems really insistent on using his live-action team for this show.
