What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Upgrades! I can finally retire my old VHS tapes of El Hazard, and I've never seen the sequel.

I only owned the start of Orguss on DVD thanks to that weird print-on-demand Imaginasian release where you got the box with the first volume and then the later volumes just came in paper sleeves. It went out of print in a few months, so I only had the first two volumes.

January Week 2 haul.

Four packages arrived between Monday and today.

First up we have Judgment and Lost Judgment for PlayStation 5. I have Judgment for PS4 but I didn't start it due to the backlog so I'm jumping straight to the PS5 version instead. These are spin-offs of the Ryu ga Gotoku franchise from SEGA.

Both games were picked up via Base as they were quite cheap at £20 ish each.

Next is more manga from Amazon as they were priced reasonably well and were in stock for delivery sooner than later. GANTZ Omnibus 2 from Dark Horse as well as How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? Volumes 5 & 6 and Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs Volumes 15 & 16. Hoping to try and get GANTZ up-to-date.

Today, El-Hazard: The Magnificent World arrived from Anime Limited in collector's packaging. Nice to have more isekai anime as per usual. You can view more photos/specs on my blog.

And also arrived today are more games from Base. Trying to get more games that were released years ago picked up sooner than later, so I went ahead and grabbed Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries of Fujisawa from PQube and Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy from Bandai Namco.

This JP set includes the entire first season on 4 BDs with both the English dub and subtitles included as well. 2 Extra BDs are for the special features. 6 CDs are also included with the audio dramas and a large booklet with a lot of character art (that also has the sponsorships in the show as well).

It should be noted that a compact version was recently announced for much cheaper than list price for this one (though I got this for cheaper than that one as that version made this one drop heavily in price) but that appears to be 2 discs instead of 4 and is missing both the English dub and subtitles so it wasn't to my interest because of that.

The second half of the Fruits Basket, Funimation x Funko Pop competition I won a few months back arrived today, this includes a Funko Pop of Kyo with his cat form and art cards signed by the Japanese cast, except these are much, much bigger than I expected, I'll have to get some frames for these as they're beautiful.

I received these two Collector's sets in the mail today; they were the last anime order I had placed in 2021. The seller had advertised both as being opened, but while he was getting them ready for shipping, he informed me he had noticed a substantial scuff mark on the Part 2 chipboard box, so he said he was shipping me a brand new copy of Part 2 instead. 👍

I picked these up for a bit less than what the pair originally retailed for, even though both parts are OOP now. I had long wanted to get these two sets even though I already owned the four Aniplex releases, because, you know, chipboard and digipaks, but after Part 1 went OOP a few years ago I had pretty much given up on ever getting them. This series is one of my three top favorite mecha series, along with Escaflowne and Kuromukuro, so that is why I don't mind double-dipping for these nice UK CE sets!

Special thanks goes out to João Gomes and oldmario for assisting me with tracking down a set I didn't have to pay a premium for! 🥳
