For Criticism, ???? and Profit.

Still working on the poster, but it occurred to me that I never did finish my character sheet thing, so I've gone back to that in the meantime.

The board I'm submitting it to demands at least one full length sketch, so I wound up nicking a pose from a menswear catalogue. I like the way his expression seems to say, "well I could have sworn my car keys were in that pocket earlier".

Found a custom brush on one of my Imagine FX coverdiscs that's supposed to look like soft pencil - it's pretty convincing...

Also this one is supposed to be Dieter Meier, I thought that previous photo was kind of cool.

I've just read this entire topic. I really envy people who can draw so well, it's one of the many thing I'm naturally bad at, including driving and playing any sort of instument.

But yeah, your stuff is amazing :p keep posting! =)

Not entirely happy with how the colours came out (line-artist seeks colour specialist for arty times), so it'll probably need a bit of tweaking before it goes up on the deviantart. Also undecided as to whether I should put a stronger outline round the headshots or not, but I'm glad to get this finished nevertheless.

Heh, I was actually watching the Deer Hunter again not long ago - nice likeness anyhow, you seem to have a knack for simplifying features of a person while keeping them distinct and recognisable.

Thank you - I think when you're drawing a real person, the greatest compliment is being told it's recognisable :)

I'm hoping to try and build up a few tv / movie fanart pieces, but it's been slow going so far. I do seem to have forgotten to post one thing I did recently though. It's my intention to colour it, but I think I might try and change the background first, just so it doesn't look too much like the original poster.

Cheers man :) Are you still interested in an avatar by the way? I've got more time on my hands now, so I could probably cook something up if you want.

"I'm sure that in 1985 plutonium is available in every corner drugstore, but in 1955 it's a little hard to come by." =D
Great picture of an awesome movie. Nicely mate.

Just thought I'd tell you, in case you didn't know, that Plutonium is a man-made element. To me, this is fascinating.

Cool. If you could PM me a note of what you want done, I'll get on it.
I'll mention a list of characters and you fell free to make anything you want, provided it's coherent with the characters and I'll wear it as my new avatar =)

Major - GiTS
Dante - DMC
Kenshin - Samurai X
Kaneda - Akira
Black Jack - Black Jack
Ultra Seven - Ultra Seven

how's that? Once again, thanks

I assumed it was a man-made element. It is indeed intresting to know that plutonium is uranium after being bombarded by neutrons in a reactor. Then we would rub it all over ourselves hoping to gain super human powers only to learn that we've infact given ourself cancer.

If you didn't start anything yet, can I ask for a Shanks fighting pose art? Something like the last OP chapter?
