--THE ANIME UK NEWS CHARACTER BATTLE 2005!--
INTRODUCTION
This is the brainchild of me and Mangaminx, not at all copied from Game FAQs. Basically, we're selected sixteen anime characters that we think are pretty damn popular, and we're going to have them face off against each other, round by round, until one is declared the victor.
I understand that the characters chosen will anger, displease and frustrate some, but we selected these characters because of their popularity (well, most of them...) Also, we have had to not use certain very popular characters because they didn't match up well to an opponent for the first round. Other than that, we have a wide selection of characters to vote for, so it's unlikely that there won't be at least one character that you're a fan of in the listings. All entries are selected from series; no films; it was hard enough for us choosing these sixteen.
We have eight male characters and eight females, selected to ensure maximum gender equality; the final will be a battle of the most popular of the male characters and the most popular female. Each pair of battles will last one week; with the guys appearing here and the ladies appearing on the sister thread, curated by Mangaminx. So, this first round should last four weeks. As per usual, the winner goes through to the next round.
Everyone is welcome to vote on every round, and please do, as well as leaving any comments for us.
