News from Japan suggests that Masaaki Yuasa's next anime project will be another TV series animated by Madhouse Studios (following on from 2006's crazy-horror-adventure Kemonozume). "Kaiba" will be a science-fiction love story (the subtitle is "I shall love you even if I have lost my memory.") and should air during the spring 2008 season (starting in April).

Yuasa's rough, hyper kinetic and sketchy style of animation, as seen in the likes of Cat Soup and Mind Game, will often alienate fans of traditional anime but attracts those interested in his unconventional story telling.

This is almost certainly something that I'm completely and utterly excited about, much more than anything else this year (then again, it's not as though there seems to be much going on this year anyway :) ). Awesome animation, science fiction, romance, all helmed by such a unique director... Forget Macross Frontier, this is it ;)

I may take a look out for this, hopefully it'll be on when I have time off though so I can watch it. Im really annoyed about all the exams atm means i cant watch Witch Hunt Robin on AC
