New season of Genshiken TV series

According to various sources scattered across the internet, a new season of the "a day in the life of an otaku" anime series Genshiken has been confirmed as being in production by Media Factory and is set to begin airing on Japanese TV in October.

The first season of Genshiken premiered in Japan during October 2004 and was 12 episodes long.

I loved the first season of Genshiken- it was so subtle and funny, and even quite touching, that I was gutted when I realized there were only 12 episodes. I badly need to see more and personally, the announcement of this new series is the best news of 2006 so far
