Site problems

Newest posts works fine for me, the only thing I keep getting is everytime I put in my login info, it tells me the page cannot be displayed. Once I back click a couple of times I'm logged in, same thing happens when I log out. It's not a huge problem though :]

I have been having this problem since early May (see page 8 of this thread)

The newest post issue doesn't look to be browser-related since I can replicate it using WGET:

Code:
wget --spider "http://forums.animeuknews.net
/viewtopic.php?t=12662&view=newest"
--10:21:55-- http://forums.animeuknews.net/viewtopic.php?t=12662&view=newest
           => `viewtopic.php@t=12662&view=newest'

For some reason if you add &view=newest to the URL it tries to redirect to a malformed URL.

It only seems to be a problem if there actually are new posts - if you try adding &view=newest to an old thread it just tells you there are no new posts so I suspect the problem is somewhere in the board config rather than in the server config.

Now, I vaguely recall that phpBB does attempt a redirect when viewing newest posts - IIRC on the internal boards at my old job it was setup to use meta redirect instead so you had an interstitial page but it did at least work. Is it possible to change the redirect method as a workaround?

I have been getting that problem of having to back page several times to login for weeks now. I get the "404" error message telling me it can't find the server or is off line etc. I had to go through it just now to post this. Once I'm in everything works as it should, it's just logging in and out.

parts are working but login/admin are still buggered

Yes login here as well, that and looking trying to look at users profiles. So to say when your looking at the list of threads in any sector and you click on the authors name it comes back with a function error, same if you click on recent poster or people online at the bottom of the index page

Site is having MAD PROBLEMS for me atm, super slow, can't post, can't access chat. Doubt this will even post (third or fourth time I've tried since it went weird yesterday evening).

No problems for me, other than the minor ones other people have mentioned. I'm on IE at the moment, but was also on my other computer earlier which has FF, no problems then either.

Is anyone having trouble just simply logging in? It doesn't open up the forums after typing the name and password in, so I have to click on the forum link again and it's not remembering my name and password so I'm having to log in each time I open the browser again. It's probably that my Chrome is ******...

I have the same problem, chrome is godlike because of my K-ON!! skin so Shh.

Jayme, is it not the same as the "looking for wrong url" problem that a lot of people have? So instead of saying "forums.animeuknews.net" it will say either ":" or "[www.:.com]" in the url? If it is, just replace that with "forums.animeuknews.net" and you should be good to go.

In chrome I don't get that in the URL at all when trying to go to unread posts, nothing happens. I think it is being 'clever' and ignoring a clearly broken URL.
