Irish national newspaper "The Daily Ireland" have published a positive article briefly looking at anime and it's growing fanbase in Ireland, including notable mentions for the Derry Anime and Manga Association (aka "DAMA"); "the only group of its kind in Northern Ireland" which comes together every month for anime screenings at the "Nerve Centre" in Derry.<ul class="menu">"Daily Ireland was talking to Colin Palin, president of the Derry Anime and Manga Association (DAMA) set up by himself and a couple of other lads (Dani Moore, and Gary O’Driscoll from Derry) in 2004 for people who are mad into these strange Japanese cartoons. According to the very amiable Colin, Manga is the name of the type of artwork that features in the comics while Anime is the animated version that an be seen in the films. In case your still wondering Otakudom is the name given to the pleasure that Anime fans get from watching these films together."</ul><a href="http://forums.animeuknews.net/viewtopic.php?t=1708">The full article has been scanned in and posted on our forums</a>.
