ANN are reporting that Viz have announced their partnering with The World Bank to create "1 World Manga". This manga series (which is set to debut either this week or next) will tackle important world issues such as HIV/AIDS, poverty and the environment. The World Bank intend to donate copies of the manga to 300 libraries worldwide and Viz's proceeds from the sales are set to go to several different charities. The manga was written in-house at Viz by Anette Roman.
