In lieu of (the popular ninja-adventure series) Naruto's impending US TV debut, Wired.com have taken a look at the state of anime in North America, specifically discussing the financial impact of Naruto's widespread and well distributed TV fansubs.
 
InuYasha's certainly more mature than...what, exactly? And I somehow doubt even Naruto's release will stop the fansubers. Nothing short of a law suit will, and even then so many groups, on the web and on IRC, sub it that it would be a legal nightmare of almost impossible difficulty to stamp them out.

Seems very much like an article by Phil Space, it that it exists to fill the "yearly anime article" slot. There's little here that hasn't been mentioned in articles before, except the outlook isn't completely negative this time, merely highlighted the troubles of fansites for companies like ADV.
