To be honest, I don't think I've heard dialogue as cheesy as this for a while. Clip 5 has some bad-ass action though, Nazi airplane dog fight proceeds to gun vs sword fight on one of the wings!

It would be cool if for only a split second he says "I am father Alexander ANDERSON!"

It actually looks better than I thought it would and well the accents aren't that bad.

All the bad press it's been getting has been putting me off but at least the clips are showing it's at least going to have some decent action.

I saw this movie at the anime allnighter. The action scenes were very impressive but the dialogue was awful. The movie could have been written by a five year old. The dub is also one of the worst i have heard! I would find it hard to recommend. Although i understand there is an uncut version being released. I hear Yoshiaki Kawajiri was not happy with the cuts made but im still not optimistic that it will change much?

Yeah it's the American edit of the film. I've not heard of an uncut versio being planned by anyone yet, but I guess it'll happen in the end.

It's based on a frankly naff film franchise tbh, so I though the film was pretty good considering what they had to work with! And the action was quite nice so I'll be buying this at some point. :)

So this is what the folks what did "Fist of the North Star" have got up to since then. If it wasn't them, then someone should be looking at copyright infringements on their designs. Now all's needed is a Rin type character and it will be complete.
Looks worth a rent when it's out here.

It's good old-fashoined mindless fun really - great animation on the action but it rates very highly on the cheese factor! I just hope they announce the release date for the uncut verson, which is the one I'd rather buy.
