ADV Films line up Le Chevalier D'Eon for UK release

In an official press release posted by AnimeOnDVD, ADV Films have confirmed that they have licensed Production I.G's latest historical drama (set in 18th century France) Le Chevalier D'Eon for release in North America, UK, Australia and English speaking African territories.

Nice to see that ADV have picked this up for the UK too. It looks like a mature anime series, something of a rarity these days - especially from ADV.

I also find it interesting that ADV are releasing stuff in "English speaking African territories". Anime in Africa, very impressive!

ADV Films, the leading producer-distributor of anime in the U.K., is proud to announce the acquisition of hit animated series Le Chevalier D’Eon, in a deal with Shochiku, Japan’s leading entertainment conglomerate.

I love it how the give "New historical epic from Production I.G." capital letters but not UK.

Production I.G. have made some great anime so I'm keen to check this out. However, historical? :? I heard this is about someone being possesed by a dead persons spirit! I guess that makes it historical in setting or somat.
