Disney is getting a deal with Toei!?

The BBC news website is reporting that the Walt Disney Company is set to produce anime films in conjunction with local studios to help adapt Disney to Japan’s regional tastes.

The first production will be a children’s film short about a robot. This film is set to be made in conjunction with animation studio Toei Animation Company.

There are also plans to create a Japanese version of the popular Disney film Lilo & Stitch, again using local talent.

It could really help getting younger people into anime.

Exactly! Old News! =P

I'm surprised how big Stitch is in Japan though, They apparently love Stitch along with Snoopy and another random character. I found this out on the ANN thread off that post. I'm actually looking forward to what-ever they will do with Lilo and Stitch since they are my two favourite Disney characters <3.

But, Please... For the love of all things Holy. Don't turn it into Demashita! Lilo x Stitch.
