Hi everyone!
I've been slinking around for a while now, so I thought I'd best introduce myself
The names Alex, I'm 32 years old and I've been lurking around the AUKN boards for a couple of years now, so I thought it was about time I at least said something :?
First anime I ever watched was probably the Moomins back in the early 80's, and I've been watching anime on and off pretty much all my life. It's only during the last 4 years that I've started to get serious about it though, and 2 years ago that I discovered fansub. I've never looked back since.
Currently I'm the Society Secretary for the Nottingham Anime & Manga Society, and seem to spend a good deal of my time either harassing distro's or trying to convince the public that anime is the greatest thing that could ever happen to them (or at least get people to stop calling it "that Japanese cartoon porn stuff").
It doesn't mean I know anything more than the rest of you, it just means I'm more likely to be blamed for stuff
Anime I like? Well, all of it (no, I really mean it, I can find something good about almost any anime), but I tend to love cute, romantic & funny stuff most (so why is most of my DVD collection action then!?)
I'll try not to be too much of a bother on your boards (once a lurker, always a lurker), but from time to time I may pop in with the odd question or two; I'm a great believer that everyone has something worthwhile to say, and your opinion does make a difference. If I'm ever annoying, just throw stones and plushies at me till I go away...
