New poll; Your most wanted UK release?

The time has come to change our weekly poll. Last week, we asked you if you would rather import your anime DVDs from the US rather than bother with the UK releases. 3.39% of voters said yes and claimed UK releases were just plain rubbish, while 6.78% felt that the US DVD 'extras' like limited edition art-boxes (to hold your DVDs) were just too much to turn down. Thankfully, 42.37% voted no and would rather support the UK industry - an interesting figure given the many vocal UK importers out there. Lastly, 47.46% of you tend to just compare and buy whichever release is more convenient, regardless of region. Thanks to everyone that voted last week!

Now onto the new opinion poll; we are asking to you nominate your most wanted UK (anime) release! We have attempted to provide a list of the most popular anime outside of the UK, but you can also vote as 'none of the above' and make your opinion heard in the discussion thread. The voting ends on the 22nd of November (2 weeks away) and we will be producing an article based on the top 10 (most voted) as well as sending off the results to ADV UK and MVM (it all counts!).

I voted FLCL, but out of all the anime series currently licensed in the US, my top pick for a UK release would be SaiKano, without a shadow of a doubt.

I did have SaiKano on the list, especially after you praise it a lot around here, but it didn't receive any votes for a while so I replaced it with Scrapped Princess; now that has no votes too! Perhaps I should have included 'Haibane Renmei' and 'GunGrave' after all.

In January,in a press release on their web site(which I'm still trying to find!)ADV Films UK stated that they had the UK release rights for the
`Sakura Wars TV Series`.However, ten months later there is still no sign that it will be released in the UK,dispite the fact that series such as `Kino's Journey` that were scheduled for release behind it have started to appear on video store shelves.I'm beginging to wonder if ADV UK has decided not to release it(due to low sales of the `SW OVA Collection` box set perhaps?).So my vote goes to `Sakura Wars TV`!

P.S:If anyone knows about a possible release for this(spectacular)
series, could you please leave me a message on this thread.Thank
You.
