SmartMoney.com, a financial news website run by Dow Jones and Hearst, is featuring a look at the financial situation and prospects of 4Kids Entertainment in light of the company releasing its earnings report for the first quarter of 2007.
Analysts are still rating 4Kids as either a hold or a buy due to a strong balance sheet and the potential for success of 4Kids' upcoming properties such as the Chaotic CCG.
However, 4Kids has now posted four straight losing quarters. Yu-Gi-Oh! and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles account for 37% of net sales but have hit their peak and are beginning to decrease in popularity.

HAHA, they're Beginning to decrease in popularity, They were never popular to start off with.

As much as you might not like it, kids still love the shows, have no idea they're watching something that makes teenagers seethe with rage, and to them, 4Kids is just a phrase that appears at the end of Pokemon, just as we all laughed when we heard the kid say Dic at the end of the Super Mario Super Show.

It's a sad fact.

I would agree here, we do make fun of it but its been one of the front runners in cartoon shows for kids from the moment they started showing Pokemon. They did cut the **** out of almost all animes they showed but as their name suggests the shows they were releasing were for kids.

I am glad that 4kids have lost the license for One Piece & things like that, but the sad fact is they did help get more anime on UK Television so you have to kind of appreciate them for that [Just a little]

Actually, from the ones I've talked to, they've hated the edits, voices and bad puns as well... I had one 11 year old saying they were a "bunch of useless b*st*rds" which made me laugh.

Ah, but if you go a few years lower...

Take my cousins for example.
