Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (English dubbed) - Enjoyable series, glad I finally watched it after hearing so many good things, the second opening and ending lyrics are really beautiful as well :) It's well-animated and prob a good pick if you want a Gundam series that has a solid dub and is not a massive time investment compared to one of the three or four cour Gundam series. Genuine question from an autistic person: is Kou perhaps meant to be autistic? :)

Day off

Bikini Warriors 5+6
Oh dear. 🍆

Dungeon of Black Company 1-3
Not as funny as I hoped but got into the plot within minutes and there are enough LOL moments.

Heavens Lost Property Forte 3-6
Perhaps the best wrestling outside Wanna be the Strongest
You can talk about your Gundams but
"Change battle, New Panty Robo" is my battle call. Lots of laughs, I was nearly crying.
"There's a girls changing room, do you peek?"
The ending song of episode 6 might be the greatest ever.

Haha tbf it's more the sexism, creep factor and sheer viewer-insulting stupidity of most fanservice shows that puts me off them (and I'm not dissing you for liking them btw I'm dissing the shows themselves lol), but it's not like I'm opposed to fun or sex I just wish fanservice stuff didn't seem to so commonly fall back on really poor writing and "humor" along the lines of "well obviously women become past it when they hit 25-30 years of age and what man wouldn't prefer to **** a 15 year old lololol amirite fellas?" that sounds like it comes from some misogynist (possibly incel) manifesto. I wish there were more "equal opportunity" fanservice anime or at least like, "mostly conventionally attractive nude women but not having creepy jokes disparaging women for not being pretty/not being young girls anymore/being fat or other such unnecessary nastiness" fanservice anime. I know it's not only fanservice anime that ever have these issues but it does make it harder to enjoy that kinda stuff when they throw that kind of thing into the mix. I'm bi I like looking at pretty women a lot but I don't need to be reminded that some men think women are less than human if they don't wanna bone them when I'm trying to get the horn and have a laugh XP I've thought about writing something fanservicey but like, not meanspirited or horribly sexist before cuz I know it's not only me for whom the offputting part is not the fact that it has lots of cute chicks and is a comedy but more... well the other stuff I talked about. I actually tried writing a porn musical once (it was only ever meant to be a script rather than anything I actually planned to animate or film). Anyway sorry my comment is so rambly but hopefully I got my point across. You have reminded me to watch the trailer for Godannar again with all this talk of fanservice + giant robots :)

Also tbf 0083 is like the Gundam equivalent of Top Gun so tbh it is a bit silly :p

You put your point well.
My usual fanservice is 'is there boobs.' But I might not like the anime.
I thought I should love Peter Grill but I thought it boring. And there's a lot like that.
I believe I love action and humour more than anything.
I'll be honest and say that if there is a busty character I'll watch it but fighting and humour are more important.
Drifters, Angelmois, My Girlfriend is a Shobitch and Ladies Versus Butlers.

Over the years have made me decide that panties are my thing.

And I think it's a kick ass song.

I like that you accept someone likes the anime they like. Unlike some who jump in and say "Ladies V Butler's" is crap.

That time I got Reincarnated as a Slime
Season 2 Part 2
Episodes 1-6
I like this show. Short on action. I'm interested in how the plot moves. It did pretty much what I wanted. Big fight coming soon.

Shoot'Em Up
Clive Owen, the director wanted to make a film where the gaps between the action scenes were as short as possible.
He succeeded.

KanColle: Let’s Meet at Sea episode 4 Collisions.

Pumpkin Scissors episodes 17-24 (Complete. A Gonzo series that I’ve been meaning to watch for years and one that was quite enjoyable thanks to its concept and characters. I did find the final episodes a tad dragged out though.) 3.5/5

Agent Aika does actually look quite fun tbf I mean it's hard not to be endeared to an anime with a boat that looks like a giant duck in it (and yes that is a cool song!) :p

Chainsaw Man ep10

Akiba Maid War ep8-10

Ranko’s doomed romance in Ep10 made me a bit emotional, but despite having rolled my eyes at the premise of a sports-themed episode, I think 8, in which the two rival groups try to bury the hatchet over a game of baseball, is my favourite episode so far - it struck a nice balance between the show’s dark humour and a kind of earnest push for reconciliation. The premise was distinctive enough that I wondered if it might have its origin in an existing Yakuza movie and, having asked one of my more knowledgeable friends, he suggested it might be a nod to Don Don Dynamite, a Bunta Sugiwara film from the late 70s.

Gosenzosama Banbanzai ep4-5

@Orgun mentioning watching this one recently reminded me that I’d never gotten around to finishing it after another year, so I thought it might be time! I’ll reserve my overall judgement until I’ve seen the sixth (and last) part, but I enjoyed ep5 - there was a bit more incident to it than some of the other episodes. Seeing the family falling on hard times and forced into petty crime also feels uncomfortably relevant these days…

Much Ado About Nothing (Joss Whedon, 2012) - I utterly adored this thing and it gets my highest recommendation, it's beautiful and funny and warm and Denisof and Acker have great chemistry they are just so cute together OMG 🥰

Jerry Maguire (rewatch) - for sure worth seeing again, nice uplifting Hollywood film and I enjoy Renee Zellweger in most things :)

Ouran High School Host Club episodes 1 - 26

Rewatch from years ago, latest title from my backlog (think it came from an AL mystery box from a couple years ago)

5 Centimetres per Second

Another rewatch after picking up the collector's edition in the AL sale to replace a DVD copy.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Intrigue episode 48 Control. (Complete. Another strong season for a great storyline.) 4/5

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer
episode 23 Desires.

My Master Has No Tail episode 12 Getting started.

Ramen Fighter Miki episodes 7-12 (Complete. A simple but fun premise that made for a solid and easygoing comedy anime.) 3.5/5

Ranking of Kings
episodes 1-18

It would appear that I forgot to mention that I watched Bubble here!

Bubble (English subbed) - I utterly adored this apart from the terrible opening theme music which I recommend everyone skips, but mostly it was utterly beautiful and I really connected with it, I also enjoyed the probably intentional disability representation of autistic and non-verbal people. I don't want to spoil which story it's a retelling of as the trailers don't give it away, but it's now my favourite version of that story in film and animation :)

EDIT: There is also representation of visible physical disabilities in this film, which I was pleased to see as well :)
