Funnyest show

What is the one that just make's you cry laughing or hold you sides from the pain of laughing to much?

Personally for me its Scrubs, Scrubs and nothing but more Scrubs

Scrubs is good, even the failed attempt at bringing it back at a Med School is fairly good. I have a few favourite comedies, though:

How I Met Your Mother: Neil Patrick Harris is a God. Barney makes this show, but Marshall, Lilly, Robin and Ted are so great. Without a doubt the last good sitcom that isn't single camera, and has a laughter track. It's like a multi-camera Arrested Development. Which nicely brings me onto my next one -

Arrested Development: Again, this is a show where the cast make the characters. The writing is probably the best your going to get in a half-hour comedy as well. Jokes that reference jokes two seasons ago don't happen in every comedy. I don't think there has been an show as quotable as this either. I'm very eager for its upcoming film - filming should begin this year!

Glee: The description you gave, from crying to laughing, Glee does it all. It's not a half-hour laffer, but its probably the funniest thing on a weekly basis I've seen in quite a while.

Honourable mentions go to: South Park, Parks and Recreation, The Office US (S2 - 4/5), Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Seinfeld and Modern Family...

Misfits was just as funny as Skins, and that is to say, it was a drama. At least, a dramedy. I couldn't call it a comedy even if I wanted to.

I'm going to take the unpopular option and say the Simpsons is probably the greatest comedy show ever created. It's a different show now (a mostly terrible one at that), but in that glorious half-decade when the show got over its own phenomenon, and before it began bizarrely cannibalising itself, it was the most consistently side-splitting piece of programming ever crafted by a meeting of the most brilliant comedy writers on the planet.

The problem is, you and I and everyone else have seen these brilliant episodes far too many times. There's a certain generation of us who will remember the Simpsons when it playing on the BBC, endlessly showing the same handful of seasons again and again and again. But sooner or later, you forget the little one-liners and side-plots that fill out the main arc of an episode you could have sworn you knew better than your alphabets. And then everything's coming up milhouse.

Can't beleive Flight of the Conchords only just got a mention. Other choices are similar to what's already been said. Father Ted, South Park, Simpsons, Bottom, Red Dwarf, Scrubs and many many more. Can't say that I remember watching any series that has repeatedley brought me to tears though. Not when lucid anyway.
:p

Mock the week!

You cannot disagree! Watch the video and tell me otherwise!

I can't believe I forgot Dave Chappelle (the greatest comedian you've probably never heard of).

Some Chapelle stuff is good but otherwise he gets a big "meh" from me. It's like SNL in that respect, sometimes the sketches are spot-on hilarious, other times its like: "Do Americans actually find this funny?" - most often its the latter, especially now that Tina Fey has gone.

I find American comedies always somewhat cringey and lacking. They can rarely be just funny. They are always annoying in some way.

EDIT: American comedies? I meant comedians, obviously.
