The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

I don't watch much J-drama stuff, but is it usual to look like it was filmed in the mid 90s? The lighting and cuts seem quite... amateurish?

Remember how Issei's English VA didn't return for the Broadcast dub for High School DxD BorN because he retired from voice acting overall?

Well now he's convicted for a couple years over possession of child porn.

Funimation also terminated his contract back in May 2015 as a result of these charges.

I didn't like the character in that series its ironic

How sad that life finally started imitating art..,

In BBFC news...
Captain Earth (Episodes 14-19) - 12: moderate violence, sexualised images
Captain Earth (Episodes 20-21) - 12: moderate threat, moderate sex references
Ping-Pong: The Animation - PG: mild bad language

That's gross about Scott Freeman. It makes me feel bad for liking the anime he's been involed with. Same way I feel bad for still liking 2 Lost Prophets songs *shudders*

There's a voice actor who does the tall dark haired main dude from Gantz (can't remember his name) that was in bad press too for marrying a teenager of about 16 years old.

Wow. I think I said something when Ushio & Tora was announced about not having lost all hope for a 3x3 Eyes reboot, but I'm not sure I truly believed it would happen. Art and animation look a bit ehhh but I suppose that's to be expected.

I am cautiously optimistic.

EDIT: I saw Hayashibara Megumi's name towards the end of the trailer. I wonder if she'll be reprising her role as Pai.

She's singing the new theme tune there, so it seems very possible she'll be back. I'm a bit worried by the lack of claret on display though. I know there was more to the series than copious bloodshed, but I would miss that if it's gone.

Owarimonogatari anime visual!

In other exciting news, Ajin: Demi-Human will also see a TV anime adaptation starting January.

Ougi <3

I was excited for Ajin till I found out it'll be Knights of Sidonia type CGI. Barf. Still haven't been able to bring myself to get past 15 minutes of Sidonia and I'm usually not too bad when it comes to different animation style, just that sort of intense full CGI bugs me..

I'm really glad 3x3 eyes is getting a reboot, although that may just be nostalga kicking in.... :p

Interesting news about Ajin, hope we see more of this in the future.

That's nothing; I wanted badly to be on both Jim'll Fix It and Rolf's Cartoon Club (I even applied to the latter and was turned down).

Amazon have moved No Game, No Life to November 30th. MVM's store still says October 26th. Tweeted MVM for confirmation.

EDIT: MVM confirmed it's been pushed to November 30th, as they're working on something for the release. Soundtrack maybe?
